When the female referent is seen or present in the context of speech, the form she is replaced by ce, marked by the addition of c, a voiced non-occlusive laryngeal consonant, usually realized close to the phonetic symbol [ɦ].

After the possessive particle mā, the pronoun le indicates the female possessor and corresponds to the use of possessive pronouns in Portuguese:
